Rene A. Louapre, IV Presents at the Louisiana Hospital Association’s Spring Health Law Symposium

Mr. Rene A. Louapre, IV, associate in the Milling Health Care Department, will be presenting a speech entitled: “Electronic Medical Records: The Road Ahead” at the Spring Health Law Symposium, sponsored by the Louisiana Hospital Association.

The presentation will be given at the Doubletree Hotel, New Orleans. Mr. Louapre has previously spoken on the topic of electronic medical records at both the Louisiana State Medical Society Leadership Summit and at a Lorman Educational Seminar.

The speech will examine recent legislative developments including the HITECH Act, part of President Obama’s stimulus bill, and its effect on health care providers.

Mr. Rene Louapre, IV presented on the topic of Electronic Medical Records at the Louisiana State Medical Society Leadership Summit in Baton Rouge on February 7, 2009.

Presenting alongside him was his father, Rene A. Louapre, III, M.D. Their presentation covered legal and regulatory issues affecting surrounding the implementation of an electronic medical records system.
