Milling participates in Rotary Spelling Bee to benefit YMCA of Greater New Orleans Adult Literacy

On Thursday, May 10, 2007, Milling Benson Woodward L.L.P. participated in the Rotary Spelling Bee at Kingsley House to benefit Adult Literacy Programs for YMCA of Greater New Orleans. YMCA Education Services (YES!) is the largest and oldest non-local education agency adult literacy program in the state. YES! operates out of the New Orleans Public Library and is the only remaining literacy program in the city serving adult learners.

Proceeds from the Spelling Bee will be used to recruit and train volunteer tutors, provide educational materials to students, and meet other operational needs of the YMCA adult literacy program as there remains a pressing need to support efforts to promote literacy in New Orleans as citizens return to the city.

Milling’s team members, below from left to right, are Kelly Stone, Roselyn B. Koretzky, James K. Irvin and Hilton S. Bell.
